Beyond thrilled to introduce Natalie, owner of The Pasta Emporium in Robina, known for their fresh handmade pasta @the_pasta_emporium.
We first spotted Natalie’s incredible content a few weeks back, when we heard she was running a pasta making class @m.o.u.s.t.a.c.h.e (one of our absolute fave restaurants). A few DMs later, we were so honoured to visit her store and meet Natalie + her gorgeous colleague Chiara, all the way from 🇮🇹.
She grew up on the Gold Coast, helping her parents run their cafes, restaurants and deli. When COVID hit, she needed to pivot to support her young family, selling takeaway lasagnes to locals. Within weeks she had real traction, and that’s how The Pasta Emporium was born.
Her store is styled to perfection, with authentic Italian olive oils, cheeses and treats sourced from the finest producers, including a recent collab with @restaurantlabart on their cult fave butter & selling @miamifishmarketau sauces.
THE PASTA
Honestly it needs it’s own photo shoot 📷 No wonder so many local restaurants, including @siblings_kirra stop by weekly to stock up. Natalie’s even developed her own gluten free blend using gluten free flour and besan, so no one misses out.
Once a week you can pre order fresh ravioli to take home, and every day there’s an extensive range of pasta, sauces and pre made meals for those of us who need quick and easy (🙏).
The most special part of her story? Family.
Natalie spent summers on her grandma’s farm in VIC with 8 other cousins, where they were growing and cooking their own food. She still has the very first pasta maker her mum ever bought her in store 🥹.
When asked how the GC community can support her, she was just grateful. But she’s got big dreams too and is expanding into homewares inspired by the Italian way of life, and collaborating more with local events and venues in our city.
